Events Calendar Contact UsLong hailed as one of the most popular and downright FUN social events in Kansas City, the Fur Ball is Wayside Waifs largest fundraiser, raising significant funds that directly support life saving programs and services. Featuring a different theme each year, guests enjoy a gourmet dinner, 18 hosted bars, amazing silent and live auctions and live entertainment. 100% of the proceeds from this event save thousands of abandoned, abused and homeless animals.

Strutt With Your Mutt is Kansas City's largest dog friendly 3K walk and 5K run, and Wayside's signature fall fundraiser. Woofs and purrs to those who participated in the 2019 event! Because of your commitment, over 1,600 dogs and their humans strutted down Brookside Boulevard, and raised $130,000 for the Waifs.
You can support by registering as a virtual individual or team. Participants are encouraged to complete their own mini strutt around the block or park, and snap photos to share with us. Then, join us September 14-20 on Facebook to celebrate 30 years of strutting! Corporate sponsorships are available and start at an affordable $1,000.
