    Q: Is there a donation match this year?

    A: Yes! This year, all donations up to $100,000 will be matched! We have a wonderful donor who continues to be inspired by our generous community.

    Q: What is the Kid's Dash?

    A: Kid's Dash is also returning for kiddos 10 and under. The Kid's Dash is a 100-meter dahs through one of the event arches. Kids receive a t-shirt, race bib, and ribbon.

    Q: Will there be prizes?

    A: All finishers will receive a medal as they cross the finish line. Other awards include: Top Fundraising Team, Top Individual Fundraiser, Largest Team, and Best Canine Costume.

    Q: Can I contribute without participating in the walk? 

    A: Yes, we welcome and encourage all supporters. You can donate to an individual, team, or donate directly.

    Q: If I am registered, and walking my dog, is it OK if a guest comes with me?  

    A: Registration for the event is per person, not per dog, so if your spouse or another family member wants to walk with you, registration is necessary. Children ages 10 and under are free to walk/run with you. If they would like an event t-shirt and a kids ribbon, please register them for the Kids Dash for $20.

    Q: Where is parking available? 

    A: We encourage you to arrive early to ensure you have plenty of time to park. Parking is available in the parking lots in Brookside and on the streets surrounding Brookside. Check out a map of the area here

    Q: Do I have to fundraise? 

    A: No, there is no obligation to fundraise. However, funds raised from Strutt are crucial to Wayside serving more than 27,000 pets and people annually. Your registration and any additional fundraising goes directly back to the shelter pets.

    Q: How do I become a sponsor or vendor? 

    A: We love our sponsors and vendors! Please check out our sponsorship options here.

    Q: I'm a cat lover - can I bring my cat to the event? 

    A: We love cats and kittens, but we ask you to please leave all feline friends at home. You don't have to bring a dog to the event. You are welcome to walk without a dog and still support Wayside Waifs.
