We are participating in Wayside Waifs' annual Strutt With Your Mutt on Sunday, September 24, in beautiful Brookside! As Kansas City’s largest and most comprehensive no kill pet adoption campus, Wayside Waifs prepares pets and people for the bond of their lives. More than 20,000 pets and people are served annually through pet adoptions, youth education and canine training programs, and community programming, like the pet food pantry.
Below is a note from David's personal page regarding his experience with pet adoption and a growing family!
We adopted Otto during COVID when we learned of the MASSIVE influx of German Shepherds into shelters throughout the course of the pandemic... We originally planned to foster Otto, but fell in love instantly and changed our foster contract to an adoption contract!
Jacquelyn and I had been trying to get pregnant for a LONG time, and Otto was our good luck charm (and welcome distraction from the stress of trying month after month).
