Hana and Ilyas' Fundraising Page
Hana and Ilyas Weisbrod are raising money in honor of their dog, Mia, who recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Please help them reach their goal of $5,000! All funds raised will be donated to Wayside Waifs to help abandoned, abused and homless pets. Wayside provides life-saving medical care, safe shelter, nutritious food and love to animals desperate for a second chance at life.
Mia came into the lives of the Weisbrod Family from the South Florida German shepherd rescue when Hana and Ilyas’s parents lived in Miami. Although she was already given her name, it was so fitting as “Miami” Mia moved with her new family to DC and eventually to Kansas City area. Her name reminded them of the airport code in South Florida!
Mia was one of the happiest pups ever! She had a loving personality and wanted to be everybody’s best friend. She was a beautiful dog with a smile full of sunshines! She greeted anyone who would come by including the several mail carriers and delivery people.
Even as a tripod, after her front leg was amputated due to her tumor, she continued to amaze everyone with her resilience, strength and love of life. Her memory will continue to live on with everyone who was lucky to know her. Our beautiful girl is now running with all four legs to the other side of the rainbow.
Wayside Waifs is Kansas City's largest and most comprehensive no kill pet adoption campus. Wayside Waifs rescues more than 6,000 abandoned, abused and homeless pets each year. For more information, visit https:waysidewaifs.org.
Thank you for your support! You are ensuring that animals in need get the second chance they deserve.
