At first glance, you wouldn't be able to tell what 10 playful, sweet and affectionate cats went through before they came to Wayside Waifs. Just a few weeks ago, the animals were living in a dilapidated house with several other cats, but not enough food to nourish them all.
Wayside Waifs was called upon to help care and shelter these poor animals. When they came to Wayside, our staff said the skinny cats looked rabid as they devoured their food. After further medical evaluation, several cats were diagnosed with urinary tract infections and upper respiratory illnesses. Due to fleas and poor nutrition, several cats also had hair loss.
Now they are receiving medical care, food, warm shelter and a lot of TLC, these cats (all named after Disney characters) are well on their way to a full recovery. Two are even ready to find forever homes! But providing complete comprehensive care is expensive.
